The glass bottle – medicine bottle is a universal container suitable for professional as well as artisanal packaging of various liquid and partially viscous preparations. Thanks to the durable glass, it provides a stable solution for formulations that require reliable protection, precise dosing and a representative appearance of the final product. The medicine-bottle shape allows comfortable handling, easy labelling and high-quality closure using compatible caps or dispensing systems.
The glass medicine bottle is designed to be compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the chosen product parameters. In practice, you can combine it for example with screw caps, droppers, pipette caps, spray heads or practical applicators intended for more targeted dosing of the contents.Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially when using a high proportion of alcohol, essential oils or active ingredients).
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass container can be used repeatedly, provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant ethanol. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and evaporated is the bottle ready for refilling.
Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with clean water, optionally with a mild cleaning agent intended for laboratory or kitchen glassware, rinsing thoroughly and leaving it to dry. It is then advisable to disinfect the inner surface with alcohol (e.g. IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 %), allow the remaining alcohol to evaporate completely and only then proceed with filling the final product.
The simplest way is to use the recommended combinations directly on the product page, where the compatible caps and dispensers are listed for the container. For an independent choice, you can use filtering in the relevant closure category according to neck type and the required dosing method (dropper insert, pipette, spray head, etc.). For each combination, we recommend making a trial filling and checking the tightness and dosing accuracy.
If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend placing it in the sorted waste according to the material indicated in the parameter table on the product page. Glass bottles are usually sorted into glass containers; before disposal, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents and, if possible, the label as well. Plastic caps and any dispensers, if they are made of a different material than glass, must be sorted separately according to local recycling rules.
To select a suitable container, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter you can easily sort the range according to parameters such as neck, size, colour or packaging material. By combining these criteria, you will quickly narrow down the selection to containers that best match your specific product and the intended dosing method.
The glass medicine bottle is particularly suitable for concentrated and high-value formulations where stability and precise dosing are important – for example facial serums, oil elixirs, active concentrates, concentrated essential oils and aromatic blends. In practice, it is also often used for smaller volumes of test series or samples that need to be stored safely and kept under control during application.
