Then it is appropriate to disinfect the inner surface of the packaging with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using IPA 99% – isopropyl alcohol or 96% denatured plant ethanol. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated is the packaging ready to be filled with the final product.

The packaging can be reused provided strict hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to disassemble the bottle and the respective applicator as far as possible, clean them thoroughly, rinse them and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol solution, for example with isopropyl alcohol or 96% ethanol. After complete drying and evaporation of the alcohol, you can refill the medicine bottle. When reusing, always monitor the condition of the spray mechanism and replace it in case of wear.

For thicker or sensitive solutions it is important to verify in advance the compatibility of the formulation with the material of the spray pump used as well as with the glass packaging. We recommend preparing a smaller test batch and monitoring the consistency, stability and function of the spray mechanism over time. In the case of very thick solutions, it may be necessary to adjust the formulation or choose another type of applicator so that the dosing is even and reliable.

When using the nasal spray, it is important not to touch the inside of the nose or other surfaces with the applicator in order to minimize the risk of contamination of the contents. After use, we recommend keeping the neck and applicator clean, and if necessary gently wiping them with a clean disposable tissue. If you are preparing products for several users, consider using separate bottles for each person and, in the case of long-term use, regularly check the cleanliness and condition of the mechanism.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first emptying it completely and, if possible, rinsing it so that no product residues remain. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in sorted glass collection according to local rules after separating the plastic spray pump. The plastic applicator and small plastic components belong to the appropriate sorted plastic waste according to the plastic type given in the product parameters.
