You'll find it in dry shampoos because it binds grease to itself. It has its uses in various body powders or powdered skin cleansers for the same reasons. It is also added to whipped body butters to reduce the greasy feeling on the skin, it also has its uses in deodorants.

It is also used in the manufacture of various types of decorative cosmetics, as cornstarch is used as an alternative to talc for its properties. At the same time, corn starch has an emollient effectand is also used to soothe irritated skin.

Cornstarch is well compatible with most cosmetic ingredients, especially in powder and solid products. It is opaque. It is recommended to be stored in a closed container away from moisture. Cornstarch is insoluble in water, but it is miscible with water and swells in water.

The recommended dosage is:

* Body powder - 85-95%

* Mineral eye make-up - 5-15%

* Compressed face powder - 5-15%

* Thickening products - up to 2%
