Product description

Floral water, hydrosol, rosemary BIO is a fresh herbal cosmetic raw material obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and aerial parts of medicinal rosemary, Rosmarinus officinalis, more recently also listed as Salvia rosmarinus. During distillation, an aqueous phase with fine aromatic components of rosemary is formed, which is less concentrated than the essential oil and is directly usable in aqueous cosmetic systems.
Rosemary hydrosol BIO is particularly suitable for products for combination, oily, impure, tired skin and for the scalp prone to oiliness. It is used as a facial toner, hair water, water phase in gels, cleansing products, shampoos, conditioners, masks and light emulsions.

Use in formulation

Recommended dosage: 1 – 100 % depending on the product type.
Soluble in: water.
Miscible with: hydrosols, distilled water, glycerin, aloe vera, propanediol and water-soluble active ingredients.
Compatible with: facial waters, hair tonics, oil-in-water emulsions, shampoos and gels.
It is recommended to add during cooling (at a temperature below 40 °C).
Suitable combinations: niacinamide, panthenol, zinc PCA, betaine, green clay, mild surfactants and light humectant substances.
For sensitive skin: start with a lower proportion in the formula, especially in leave-on products.

Safety and storage

Intended for cosmetic use.

For products for children, pregnant women, the eye area or very sensitive skin, assess the entire formulation.
Protect from contamination, light, heat and frost.
