Pomegranate seed oil is obtained by cold pressing. This oil is a powerful antioxidant (thanks to its high content of ellagic acid) that fights free radicals and signs of aging.
It deeply nourishes the skin and promotes its elasticity. Pomegranate seed oil improves the density of elastin fibres in the skin (which prevent skin from sagging). It is already effective in a 10% concentration in a regular face cream or body lotion. It helps to regenerate the body cells, thus helping to treat the skin and give it a fresher and more youthful appearance. It also has significant moisturizing effects, helps treat eczema and psoriasis, and is also excellent for sunburned skin.
Pomegranate oil is also recommended for use in your hair products, it helps to revive and strengthen hair, making it strong, shiny and healthy. Due to its high antioxidant and vitamin content, it helps to engorge the scalp, thus positively counteracting dandruff and itching. It is therefore ideal for flaky, sparse and dry hair.
