The clear plastic jar with black lid is a practical container for safe and clearly arranged packaging of creamy, gel-based and loose (powdery) products. Thanks to its clear design, it offers excellent visual control of the contents, which you will appreciate for home-made cosmetics, artisan production as well as professional products. The durable plastic material is designed to withstand normal handling, transport and storage without unwanted cracking or deformation under standard use.
This universal jar is suitable for packaging face and body cosmetics, butters, balms, scrubs or other blends that require reliable closure. The black lid creates an elegant contrast to the clear body of the container and helps keep the contents protected from common external influences and contamination. The packaging is easy to refill, simple to store and is also suitable for smaller product runs or test batches.
This jar is supplied as a functional combination of container and lid, so it does not require any additional separate dispensers or applicators. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (seal integrity, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to verify the behaviour of your particular product over the long term.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
If you decide not to reuse the jar after the contents have been used up, it is advisable to hand it over for recycling according to the material specified in the parameter table next to the product on the Handymade website. Correct sorting by plastic type helps reduce the amount of waste and supports the reprocessing of raw materials.
The jar can be reused under normal use, provided you observe basic hygiene rules. Before each new filling, the container and lid must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected, for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After complete drying, you can refill the jar. Take care not to use excessively high temperatures during cleaning, which could place unnecessary stress on the plastic.
First mechanically remove the remains of the original product, then rinse the jar with lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly. After washing, it is recommended to disinfect the container and lid using an alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% plant-based ethanol. Allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature and only then use them for new filling. Avoid boiling or cleaning in a dishwasher if the material is not adapted for this.
Before recycling, remove any remaining contents and empty the jar and lid as much as possible. Then sort them according to the material type specified in the parameter table next to the product on the Handymade website. Place the plastic parts in the appropriate container for plastic waste according to local sorting rules. If you are unsure, follow the material marking directly on the product or in the parameters so that recycling is as effective as possible.
The jar is designed to provide good sealing for everyday use and transport when correctly closed. Before placing it in a handbag or case, always check that the lid is tightly screwed on and that the packaging is not visibly damaged. For very liquid or thin formulations, we recommend carrying out your own leak test, for example by briefly turning the container upside down over a sink to verify the behaviour of the specific product.
To make it easier to choose packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the selected packaging category. In the filter you can conveniently set parameters according to your needs – for example the type and size of the neck, the overall size of the packaging, the preferred colour or a specific material. In this way you can quickly select bottles, jars or other containers that best match your product and the intended mode of use.
The jar is particularly suitable for thicker and semi-solid formulations such as creams, butters, balms, scrubs or loose (powder) blends. The wide opening of the container allows comfortable scooping of the product with fingers or a spatula, which is practical for both home-made and professional cosmetics. For very thin, liquid preparations, consider whether a bottle with a dosing closure or pump, which facilitates control over dosing, might not suit you better.
