Yes, the bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product – we recommend, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. Disinfection helps reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the shelf life of your cosmetic preparations.

The dropper is ideal for low to medium viscosity liquids where precise drop-by-drop dosing is important. In practice, these are mainly facial and eye serums, oil elixirs, hair tonics, booster concentrates with active ingredients and specific local preparations. Thick or gel-like products may be less comfortable to dose, therefore for such formulations it is advisable to carry out a dosing test.

First we recommend rinsing the bottle mechanically with warm water and a mild cleaning agent to remove residues of the original contents. Then it is advisable to rinse the packaging several times with clean water and allow it to dry thoroughly. Before refilling, the inner surface of the bottle and the dropper must be disinfected – for example using IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %. After the alcohol has evaporated, you can safely refill the packaging.

Before filling the entire batch, we recommend preparing a small trial batch and filling one or several bottles. Then observe the behaviour of the packaging and the dropper in contact with the specific formulation – focus on the sealing of the closure, changes in the colour or odour of the material, the smoothness of dosing and any leakage of the contents. It is advisable to carry out the test under conditions similar to normal use (temperature, transport, more frequent opening) so that you can be sure the packaging will be reliable in real use.

If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition given in the product parameters. The glass body of the dropper bottle normally belongs in the glass collection container, while the dropper components (plastic, rubber, possibly metal) should be separated and sorted according to local separate collection rules. Before disposal, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents as much as possible to make the recycling process easier and reduce the environmental burden.
