Glass cosmetic tester with transparent top is a practical small container suitable for testing and presenting cosmetic products in stores, salons and also for your own handmade production. The compact shape allows hygienic product sampling and convenient placement on the counter, in sample displays or gift sets. Thanks to the transparent top part, you always have the contents visually under control, which makes it easier to choose the shade, texture and type of formulation.
High-quality glass represents an inert packaging material which, when used correctly, helps preserve the properties of creams, gels, balms or other semi-solid products. The tester is ideal for packing smaller quantities when introducing new recipes, for taking samples for customers or when creating testing kits.
The glass tester jar is designed to be compatible with the appropriate type of cap according to the selected product parameters. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the packaging is perfectly suited to your specific product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass tester can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example IPA 99 % – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and ensures the stability of your cosmetic formulation.
After emptying, we recommend first thoroughly removing the residues of the original product, washing the container with a suitable cleaning agent and clean water and then allowing it to dry well. Only then proceed to disinfection – ideally using alcohol-based products such as IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol 96 %. Let the disinfectant act briefly and allow the excess to evaporate so that the interior remains dry before refilling.
The tester is ideal for smaller quantities of creams, ointments, lip balms, richer serums, gels and other semi-solid or creamy formulations that the customer needs to try in a small volume. It is also suitable for testing various shades of colour cosmetics, for example foundations or cream blushes, where the transparent top allows quick visual orientation among the samples.
For professional use, we recommend allowing customers to test using disposable spatulas or applicators in order to avoid direct contact of fingers with the contents. Keep the tester closed when not in use and regularly check the condition of the product and the cleanliness of the packaging. After the recommended usage period has expired, empty the tester, clean and disinfect the container, and only then fill it again with fresh product.
If you decide not to reuse the container, first remove any remaining cosmetic product and hand over the packaging to the appropriate collection according to local sorting rules. Glass parts usually belong in the glass container, while plastic or metal components of the cap should be sorted according to their marking. We recommend following the recycling symbols and the information given in the parameters of the specific product on Handymade so that recycling is as effective as possible.
When choosing a suitable bottle, jar or small container, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. You will find it at the top of the page after clicking on the selected category, where you can clearly filter products by neck type, size, colour and material. In this way you can easily find the packaging that will best suit your specific product and preferred design.
