Plastic bottle with disc-top closure represents a practical solution for dispensing various liquid preparations in cosmetics as well as in the household. Thanks to the design of the closure, it enables comfortable, controlled and clean squeezing of the contents without unnecessary contact with the surroundings, which is ideal for products where precise dosing and hygienic use are important.
The packaging is designed to be suitable for filling various liquid and lightly viscous formulations, such as cleansing foams, facial and body care products or hair cosmetics. The opaque version helps protect more sensitive ingredients from light and at the same time elegantly hides the internal contents, which is practical for design packaging of finished products or for small-scale artisanal production.
This product represents a combination of bottle and closure, which is configured on Handymade as a functional unit. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, especially for preparations with a high proportion of alcohol, essential oils or active substances.
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The disc-top closure is designed to allow comfortable dosing of common liquids and lightly viscous preparations such as body milks, gentle gels or shampoos. For very thick formulations we recommend first carrying out a trial filling to verify whether you have sufficient comfort when dosing and whether the consistency is suitable for this type of bottle.
The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each filling, the bottle and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcoholic preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let all parts of the packaging dry completely at room temperature and only then refill them, so that no undesirable water or residues of cleaning agent get into the product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend that after emptying and basic rinsing you place it in sorted waste according to the type of material listed in the parameter table at the product on Handymade. Always first remove product residues from the bottle and closure so they do not disrupt the recycling process. Then sort them into the appropriate container according to the recycling marking in the parameters – in this way you support efficient processing of plastic packaging material.
Many cosmetic formulations containing alcohol or essential oils can be filled into plastic packaging, but we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test. Fill a smaller amount of the product and leave it in the packaging for a certain time to verify the behaviour of the material, the sealing of the closure and the preservation of the appearance and fragrance of the formulation. At higher concentrations of alcohol or aromatic substances, the type of plastic used can affect long-term stability, therefore a prior test is crucial.
The combination of a durable plastic bottle and a securely reclosable disc-top closure is suitable for everyday use and for carrying in a bag. Before travelling, always check, however, that the closure is firmly snapped shut and that the bottle is not overfilled, so that the contents have sufficient space during changes in pressure and handling. For more aggressive formulations or higher alcohol content, it is advisable to carry out a trial test to check whether leakage does not occur during prolonged carrying.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the relevant packaging category. After clicking on the category, the filtering option appears at the top of the page, where you can choose the combination of parameters you need – for example neck type, size, colour or packaging material. Thanks to these filters, you quickly narrow down the offer to bottles, jars or pots that are most suitable for your specific formulation and method of dosing.
