FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this plastic bottle with sprayer be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination of the new product. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol‑based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in technical purity intended for this purpose, which you can find in the range as IPA 99 % and ethanol 96 % denatured. After treatment, allow all parts to dry well at room temperature and only then refill the packaging.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned and disinfected before further use?

First rinse the packaging and the sprayer with a suitable cleaning agent and warm water to remove residues of the original product. Then apply a disinfection based on alcohol – for example products available in the e‑shop in the alcohols category that are intended for cleaning packaging. After disinfection it is important to allow all components to air out thoroughly and to dry completely. This improves the stability of the new product and reduces the risk of undesirable changes in fragrance, consistency or appearance.

How can I properly recycle this bottle with sprayer if I no longer want to use it repeatedly?

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend assigning it to sorted waste according to the material designation given in the product parameters. Before handing it over for collection, empty the bottle as much as possible, squeeze out or rinse any product residues in accordance with the nature of the contents and local recommendations for handling chemicals or cosmetics. The plastic body of the packaging and the plastic sprayer can in most cases be placed in the plastics container, but always follow the pictograms on the packaging and the waste sorting rules valid in your municipality or town.
