Product description

The white 100 ml PET bottle and the pump in a glossy black and gold finish form a ready-made set for liquid and medium-thick cosmetic products. The white plastic conceals the contents, and the pump dispenses small amounts without unscrewing the closure. The set is suitable above all for facial serums, facial oils, body lotions, light creams and gels, and at this volume also for liquid soaps or cleansing gels in travel size.

Both the bottle and the pump are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. The bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact, whereas the pump does not, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

How the set works

The bottle has an 18/410 neck finish, and the pump with an 18/415 thread fits onto it. The glossy black and gold collar made of aluminium and plastic covers the thread. The clear overcap protects the pump head from dirt and accidental pressing during transport; remove it before use and put it back on afterwards.

The pump dispenses approximately 0.3 ml per press. The small dose suits serums and oils, where a few drops are enough, while for lotion or gel you simply press several times. The dip tube reaches almost to the bottom, so the contents can be used up without tilting the bottle.

When choosing the contents, bear in mind that the pump handles liquid to medium-thick textures. Thick creams, butters and products with larger particles (scrubs) are dispensed through it poorly or not at all.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference provides a reserve for the pump’s dip tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If it were filled up to the neck, the contents would be pushed out through the thread when the pump is fitted.

Good to know

Before the first filling, we recommend washing the bottle and the pump, disinfecting them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leaving them to dry completely. It is worth rinsing the pump by pressing it several times in clean water and then leaving it to dry empty.

PET is lightweight and unbreakable, which you will appreciate in travel packaging as well as in shipments. The bottle is not intended for filling with hot contents; emulsions and gels are filled only after they have cooled. Do not expose the packaging to aggressive chemicals. For products with a higher proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend checking how the packaging behaves with your specific formulation.

The set can be used repeatedly. When changing the contents, rinse the pump with water and leave it to dry; with oils, rinsing with ethanol helps. The bottle is made of PET and the pump of PP with an aluminium collar; separate them before placing them in recycling.

Yes, facial and body oils are among the contents this set is suitable for. A dose of approximately 0.3 ml per press corresponds to the usual amount of oil for the face, so there is no need to measure drops. For oils with a high proportion of essential oils, we recommend checking how the PET bottle behaves with your specific blend.

Is the white PET bottle with a pump suitable for cream?

It is suitable for light creams and lotions, but not for thick creams. The pump moves textures that can still be poured or that flow freely. Thick creams and butters either do not pass through the dip tube or clog the pump. For creams with a higher viscosity, a jar or a different type of closure is more suitable.

Can I fill liquid soap into the white PET bottle with a pump?

Yes, liquid soap and cleansing gels are dispensed through the pump without problems. At a volume of 100 ml it is more of a travel or sample size, and because the dose is small, you press several times. This pump does not produce foam; for a foaming output, use a separate foamer.
