A white plastic bottle with a volume of 100 ml and a black fine mist sprayer make a ready-to-use set for facial toners, hydrolates, hair and body sprays, and refreshing waters. The opaque white plastic limits the light reaching the contents, so you can also fill it with formulations that contain light-sensitive ingredients. The bottle is light and unbreakable, and it withstands travel in a handbag or a sports bag. The sprayer disperses the contents into fine droplets instead of a jet.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the bottle has a certificate for direct contact with food; the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

Facial toners and hydrolates – thin water-based solutions are sprayed evenly and a single press dispenses economically, which suits everyday use.
Hair sprays – water-based or water-alcohol solutions with active ingredients, leave-in conditioning sprays or hair tonics.
Body and refreshing sprays – the 100 ml volume corresponds to a common size for travel and for carrying in a bag.
Auxiliary solutions for production – for example alcohol for spraying the surface of cold process soap or bath bombs, where the liquid needs to be dispersed over the whole surface.

How to work with the set

The sprayer has a tube whose length matches this bottle, so it draws liquid right from the bottom. After filling, just a few priming presses are enough for the tube and the mechanism to fill with the contents, and after that it dispenses with every press. One dose is approximately 0.14 ml, so the contents of toners and sprays last for hundreds of uses.

Fill it up to the nominal volume, that is, the volume the bottle is designed for during normal filling. The volume of the bottle up to the neck is larger, and this difference serves as a reserve for the sprayer tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Do not fill the bottle to the brim, otherwise the contents will leak out when the sprayer is screwed on.

The sprayer is designed for thin, water-based solutions. Thicker oils, thick serums and emulsions may not disperse and the mechanism may become clogged, so with such a formulation test a small amount first.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the sprayer, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. The same procedure applies to repeated use. Rinse the tube and the sprayer mechanism with clean water and let them dry, so that no residues of the previous contents remain in them.

Pour the contents into the bottle once cooled, as hot liquid may deform the PET. Water-based and water-alcohol solutions are standard fillings for PET. With undiluted essential oils, fragrance compositions with a high proportion of fragrance compounds or organic solvents, we recommend checking how the packaging behaves with your specific formulation, as they may attack the plastic over the long term.

Fill the set only with cosmetic products. Homemade syrups, cooking oils and other foods do not belong in it; the sprayer does not have a certificate for contact with food.

The sprayer is matched to the neck of this bottle. Yes, hydrolates and toners are the typical filling for this set. They are thin water-based solutions that the sprayer disperses evenly, and one dose of 0.14 ml is enough to treat the face without unnecessary waste. Hydrolate and toner must be preserved just as in any other packaging; the sprayer does not protect them from microbial growth.

Does the white plastic bottle protect the contents from light?

The white plastic of the bottle is opaque, so it lets less light through to the contents than clear packaging. With an oil filling, test a small amount first and after a few days check that the PET shows no deformation or cloudiness.
