Product description

PhytoCellTec Goji Exosomes from Mibelle is an innovative cosmetic active ingredient based on plant stem cell technology from goji, that is, goji berry (Lycium barbarum). The raw material is produced by biotechnological cultivation of plant cells from goji and subsequent processing into a water-soluble powder on an isomalt carrier containing lecithin and water.
This active ingredient is focused on cellular communication in the skin. Plant exosomes and the extract from goji stem cells help support communication between the cells of the epidermis and dermis, thereby contributing to strengthening the skin barrier, improving skin elasticity and a visibly firmer appearance of contours. In cosmetic formulations it is particularly suitable for modern anti-age products, serums, creams and intensive care for skin with loss of elasticity.

Key benefits

  • Supports cellular communication through exosomes and signalling mechanisms in the skin.
  • Contributes to strengthening the skin barrier and better protection of the skin against external stressors.
  • Helps support firmness, elasticity and density of the skin.
  • Is suitable for products focused on anti-age care, restoring vitality and supporting a smoother appearance of the complexion.
  • Supports the appearance of more compact and more elastic skin with reduced visibility of fine lines.
  • Is suitable for cosmetics targeted at the facial contours, facial oval, neck, décolleté and bust.
  • Has a plant origin and is based on biotechnological processing of goji stem cells.
  • Is alcohol-free and free from preservatives.

Suitable for products such as

  • facial serums against loss of elasticity,
  • anti-age creams and emulsions,
  • lifting formulations for facial contours,
  • neck and décolleté creams,
  • firming body creams, especially for the bust area,
  • moisturising and barrier serums,
  • masks, gel masks and sheet masks,
  • light O/W type emulsions for mature, tired or photo-aged skin.

Use in formulation

  • Recommended dosage: 0,4 – 1 %.
  • PhytoCellTec Goji Exosomes are soluble in water and particularly suitable for the water phase or the aqueous part of the formulation.
  • The raw material is miscible with water, moisturising components, gel bases, toners, serums and O/W type emulsions.
  • It is compatible with common moisturising substances such as glycerin, panthenol, betaine, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, amino acids and soothing plant extracts.
  • It is recommended to add it during cooling (at a temperature below 40 °C).
  • For powdered active ingredients it is suitable first to prepare a pre-solution in a small part of the water phase and only then to incorporate it into the final formulation.
  • When formulating serums and emulsions it is suitable to maintain the pH within the range usual for facial cosmetics, approximately pH 5 – 7, depending on the overall composition of the product and the preservation system used.
  • It is suitable to combine it with barrier-supporting, moisturising and regenerating components, and not with strongly exfoliating or highly acidic systems in one formulation.

Safety and storage

  • Intended for cosmetic formulations and professional processing in cosmetic products.
  • When working, use clean tools, minimise contact of the raw material with air humidity and close the packaging immediately after taking out the material.
  • Store in a well-closed container, in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight.
  • When developing the final product we recommend performing a test of stability, compatibility and microbiological protection of the whole formulation.
  • When used in products for sensitive skin we recommend verifying the tolerance of the final product by suitable cosmetic testing.

FAQ

Is PhytoCellTec Goji Exosomes also suitable for natural cosmetics?

Yes, the raw material is of plant origin and is created by biotechnological processing of plant cells. For natural formulations, however, it is necessary to assess the entire recipe including preservation, emulsifiers and certification requirements.

Can it be combined with retinoids or bakuchiol?

In usual cosmetic concentrations it can also be used in concepts focused on renewal and firming of the skin. For formulations with retinoids it is important to check the pH, stability and overall tolerance of the final product.

Is it suitable for oil-free serums?

Yes, thanks to its water solubility it is also suitable for oil-free gel or water serums. For such products, appropriate preservation and good dispersion of the powdered active ingredient in the water phase are important.

Is this raw material also suitable for younger skin?

Yes, it can also be used in preventive care for skin exposed to stress, dehydration or UV load. However, it is most relevant in formulations for skin with reduced elasticity and the first signs of ageing.

Is it necessary to adjust the preservation system when using this raw material?

The active ingredient itself does not replace a preservative. Since it is used in aqueous formulations, the final product must have a suitably selected preservation system verified according to the composition, pH and type of packaging.

Can it be used in an eye serum?

Theoretically yes, but the eye area requires a very gentle formulation without irritating components and with suitable osmolality, pH and preservation. For eye products we always recommend verifying the tolerance of the final product.
