Amber Plastic Bottle, White Spray, 115 ml

The ready-made set of a brown plastic bottle with a white sprayer is designed for preparations applied as a fine mist – facial and hair tonics, hydrolates, refreshing facial and body mists, setting sprays and alcohol hand sprays. The brown bottle with a nominal volume of 115 ml reduces light exposure to the contents, making it suitable for formulations with more sensitive ingredients.

The bottle is made of PET, making it lightweight and shatterproof. This is appreciated with sprays carried in a handbag, taken on trips, or used in the bathroom where glass would not be practical. The narrow-neck bottle stands steadily on a shelf.

What preparations is the set suitable for

The sprayer works best with thin aqueous and alcohol-based contents. These include facial tonics, hydrolates, hair mists, refreshing body sprays, linen and air sprays, and alcohol hand sprays. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

This type of closure is not suitable for thick emulsions, gels or pure oils. Viscous contents are difficult to draw through the sprayer, the mist does not form and the nozzle may become blocked. If the formulation contains an oil component, verify that it is a thin oil and that the sprayer works reliably with it.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for when filled normally. The total volume to the rim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a margin for the sprayer tube, which takes up some space once fitted, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the rim – otherwise the contents will overflow when the sprayer is screwed on or the closure will be under pressure.

What to know when filling and using

Before first filling, wash and disinfect both the bottle and the sprayer with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Rinse the sprayer tube in the same way – any remaining water in it would dilute the first doses of the preparation.

The sprayer is made of light-coloured polypropylene; coloured contents with a higher proportion of extracts or dyes may slightly stain it over time. This has no effect on its function.

The set can be used repeatedly. Between two different formulations, rinse it thoroughly, spray clean water through the sprayer and allow to dry. If the nozzle becomes blocked, soaking the head in warm water and repeated spraying will help.

The food contact certificate applies to the bottle alone. The sprayer does not hold such a certificate, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic preparations, not for food.

For recycling, separate the PET bottle from the PP sprayer and dispose of each according to the plastic type.
