Clear Plastic Bottle, White Spray, 10 ml

A plastic bottle, a vial, with a white spray pump and a volume of 10 ml is a small kit for thin liquids that are applied by spraying. The transparent PET vial-shaped bottle comes together with a spray pump that has the same neck type, so you don't have to look for a separate closure. It is suitable for facial toners, hydrosol mists and refreshing sprays for the face and hair, or alcohol-based eau de parfum. What the kit is suitable for

The spray pump works reliably only with thin, watery liquids. Suitable options are hydrosols and toners, aqueous solutions of active ingredients with low viscosity, alcohol-based eau de parfum and light hair sprays. Thickened toners, serums with a gel consistency, emulsions and oils do not belong on this type of spray pump – the mechanism either fails to spray them or clogs up after a short time.

Do not use the kit for drinks, syrups or other foods. Approval for direct contact with food applies only to the bottle on its own; the spray pump has no such assessment, so the kit as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is intended for under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and tends to be somewhat larger. The difference forms a reserve for the spray pump tube and for possible expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Therefore fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim – if filled completely, part of the contents would be pushed out when the spray pump is screwed on.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash and disinfect both the bottle and the spray pump with alcohol or isopropyl alcohol and let them dry completely. Press the spray pump several times first with clean water and then with alcohol, so that both the tube and the mechanism are rinsed. Follow the same procedure every time you change the contents – residues of perfume or preservative would affect the scent and stability of the new product.

Transparent PET does not protect the contents from light. Store light-sensitive products, for example those with vitamin C, essential oils or strongly coloured plant extracts, in a box or away from direct sunlight, or choose dark glass for them.

PET resists water, alcohol and common cosmetic solutions well. With a high proportion of essential oils, perfume compositions or with solvents, it is advisable to verify the behaviour of the packaging with the specific formulation – the plastic may become cloudy or soften. Protect the bottle from heat and aggressive chemicals.

Only a small label fits on the cylindrical bottle with its small diameter. It is better to replace long texts with a short name and a QR code.

The bottle is made of PET, the spray pump of PP. After emptying, separate the two parts and dispose of them in plastic waste.
