To select a suitable bottle, medicine vial or other packaging, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter you can easily choose a combination of parameters such as neck, size, colour or material of the packaging. In this way you quickly find packaging compatible with droppers, pumps or other closures and adapt them to the type of your product.

Always use the dropper only with bottles whose parameters specify compatibility with the corresponding closure type. Before first closing, check the cleanliness of the bottle neck and thread to ensure there are no product residues or impurities. Place the dropper straight onto the neck and tighten it smoothly, without excessive forceful tightening that could cause deformation of the sealing part. After filling the bottle, we recommend performing a leak test – briefly turn the bottle upside down and observe whether any leakage of the contents occurs at the thread.

The dropper can be used repeatedly for in-house production and filling of packaging, provided that you follow basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the dropper and disinfecting it with a suitable disinfectant agent in order to reduce the risk of microbial contamination of the product. For disinfection you can use agents such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, available in the Handymade range (for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured vegetable). Always allow the dropper to dry completely after cleaning and disinfection so that the filled product is not diluted.

The dropper is most suitable for low to medium viscosity liquids that can be dosed drop by drop without the need for excessive pressure on the bottle. This applies in particular to oil serums, essential oils, low-viscosity emulsions, aqueous solutions of active substances or tinctures in galenic formulations. For very thick or gel-like products, the flow through the dropper may be limited, so in such cases it is recommended to consider another type of closure or dosing system, for example a pump or an applicator adapted to higher viscosity.

If you do not wish to reuse the dropper or the corresponding packaging, we recommend first emptying it of any product residues and mechanically cleaning it as much as possible. Then place the packaging and closure into sorted waste according to the material type specified in the parameter table for the specific product on Handymade. For combined packaging (for example a bottle and a separate dropper) it is advisable to separate the individual material parts and sort them separately according to local collection rules for plastics, glass or other materials. In this way you support effective recycling and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
