TROUBLESHOOTING

Wick burns briefly at the beginning and then goes out
This problem occurs if the initial wick length before the candle is first lit is incorrect. The wick needs to be shortened to approximately 0.5 cm (sometimes less) than recommended and the burn test needs to be performed again. If the shape of the container does not allow the wick to be shortened, it is recommended to add wax to the candle to the required height. It is necessary to remove the burnt parts from the wick between each burning of the candle.

The wick should crack, but not burst
You have purchased a crackling wick, but it cracks little or not at all during burning. In this case, the dyes or fragrances used may be to blame. Try making a candle from pure wax and test the cracking again.
