Candelilla wax is a vegetable wax that is a great vegan alternative to beeswax. It is extracted from the stem of the Euphorbia Cerifera shrub.
It has a dark yellow colour.
It is mainly added to cosmetic products for unification and thickening (it also acts as an emulsifier), hardness and to add shine. It is particularly popular in lipsticks, lip balms, body butters or creams. You will also appreciate its properties when making bath bombs. It protects the skin from moisture loss, moisturises it and at the same time treats it. Dissolve in a hot oil bath.
The recommended dosage is 1-5%.
