In the advanced filter, you can clearly sort the packaging according to parameters such as neck, size, colour and material, which allows you to quickly find a suitable combination of bottle and dropper for your product.

The dropper is optimised primarily for liquids of low to medium viscosity, such as light oils, serums and aqueous solutions. For more viscous oils or gel-type formulations, we recommend performing a trial filling and checking the smoothness of dripping and the back suction of air. If the dropper drips slowly or irregularly with a more viscous formulation, another type of dosing (for example a pump or a different dropper orifice size) may be more suitable.

The dropper can be reused if strict hygiene rules are observed and it is used with a compatible bottle. Before each new filling, it is essential to clean the packaging thoroughly and disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose. On Handymade you can find suitable products for disinfection, for example IPA 99 isopropyl alcohol in the product /ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ or ethanol in the product /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/. When switching to a new type of formulation, we recommend always using a perfectly cleaned and disinfected dropper to avoid mixing residues of the old product with the new one.

When filling the bottle, we recommend not exceeding the recommended fill height specified in the parameters of the given container, so that the dropper system has enough space to expel air and ensure proper sealing. After filling, clean the neck and thread of the bottle with a clean, lint-free cloth, which may be moistened with a suitable disinfectant solution. Only then screw on the dropper and tighten it with appropriate force – excessive tightening may unnecessarily stress the thread, while insufficient tightening may lead to leakage.

We recommend storing the bottle with the dropper in an upright position, well closed and protected from direct sunlight, higher temperatures and significant temperature fluctuations. A dry, clean and stable environment is suitable, as it helps to preserve the properties of the formulation used as well as of the dropper itself. For long-term storage, it is advisable to occasionally check the sealing and dripping function, especially for preparations with a high content of volatile or, conversely, heavier oil components.

If you decide not to reuse the dropper, we recommend disposing of it in accordance with the recycling rules that are based on the material composition stated in the product parameters. Where possible, individual parts of the dropper (plastic or other components) should be separated and sorted into the appropriate collection containers within the local waste sorting system. Always follow the recommendations for the specific material in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website and the applicable municipal collection rules in your area.
