Wooden crackling wick – booster 22.2 mm is a special component designed for the production of design candles in glass containers or decorative jars. Thanks to its stable construction and even burning, it is suitable for use with different waxes, while providing a pleasant visual effect and a characteristic crackling sound reminiscent of a fireplace fire. This element complements your candle packaging concept and helps create a premium, sensory experience for the end customer.
When selecting a container for the wooden crackling wick – booster 22.2 mm, it is important that the container is stable, heat-resistant and has a sufficient diameter so that the flame is not too close to the walls. Suitable are glass jars, pots or special candle containers. Before finally adding it to your offer, we always recommend testing the burning in the specific container – monitor the flame size, the evenness of wax melting and the safe distance of the flame from the rim of the container.
During the first production it is advisable to correctly place the wooden wick in the centre of the container and fix it firmly in the recommended holder so that it remains in the desired position during wax pouring. After the wax has cooled, it is advisable to check the length of the wick – before the first lighting and after each subsequent use we recommend trimming the wick to an appropriate length (usually a few millimetres above the wax surface) to prevent excessive smoking or an excessively large flame.
The wooden crackling wick – booster 22.2 mm can be used with various types of waxes, such as paraffin, plant or blended waxes, but it is always important to perform a burn test with the specific blend. Different waxes may have different density, melting temperature and burning behaviour, which can affect the flame size, burning rate and intensity of crackling. By testing multiple samples, you will find the optimal composition for your product.
The wooden wick is a single-use component, however the container in which the candle was poured can be reused if hygiene and safety principles are followed. Carefully remove any remaining wax after burning, clean the container thoroughly and before refilling we recommend disinfecting it using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol from the product IPA 99 % – isopropyl alcohol or plant ethanol from the product Ethanol 96 % denatured plant. A container prepared in this way is suitable for further creative candle projects.
If you decide not to reuse the container after the candle has burned out, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the recommendation given in the parameter table for the specific packaging on the page. Generally, it is necessary to remove any remaining wax and metal or plastic parts (for example the wick holder) and place the container into the appropriate sorted collection according to the material (for example glass, metal or plastic). Before discarding, check the recycling symbols and the information in the product parameters so that you choose the correct method of disposal.
