Plastic cap with dropper and tamper-evident ring is a practical closure for precise dosing of liquid preparations into smaller cosmetic and laboratory containers. The integrated dropper allows convenient and controlled dripping, while the tamper-evident ring increases safety at first opening and helps protect the contents from unwanted handling.
This type of closure is suitable for packaging various liquid formulations – from cosmetic serums, oils and essential oils to technical solutions where precise drop-by-drop dosing is required. Thanks to reliable sealing, the packaging helps to minimize liquid leakage and contributes to the long-term stability of the product.
This product is a separate closure with dropper intended for compatible bottles and vials. When selecting a suitable combination, it is important to match the neck type and the overall dosing concept with the character of the formulation. On the website you will also find other types of closures and dosing components that you can use for other projects – for example screw caps, sprayers or pumps for other bottles and jars.
Packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure of reliable use for your particular product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before fitting, check the cleanliness and dryness of the bottle neck as well as the internal parts of the cap. Screw on the cap with dropper in a smooth motion until you feel a distinct tightening. Do not apply excessive force when tightening to avoid damaging the thread or the dropper. After closing, briefly invert the bottle and check whether the contents are not leaking around the thread – in this way you practically verify correct sealing of the packaging.
The cap with dropper can be reused in home or artisan production of cosmetics and other liquid products, provided that basic hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimize the risk of microbial contamination of the prepared product. For disinfection you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %, which are suitable for sanitizing a clean and dry container before filling.
The functionality of the dropper depends on the viscosity and surface tension of the formulation. For smooth dripping, low-viscosity oils, serums or solutions are usually most suitable. With products that are too thick or gel-like, dripping may be slow or irregular. We recommend performing a trial filling in a small amount and, if necessary, adjusting the ratio of oil and water phases, or the amount of thickeners, to achieve satisfactory dosing with the specific type of dropper.
After the contents have been used up, it is advisable to first rinse the cap with warm water and a mild cleaning agent to remove residues of the original formulation. Then let it dry thoroughly and, before reuse, carry out disinfection with a suitable alcohol-based preparation – for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %. Perform disinfection on a clean and dry surface to minimize the risk of diluting the alcohol and to ensure a sufficient disinfecting effect.
To select a suitable bottle, vial or jar, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging material category. Using the filter, you can easily narrow down the offer according to parameters that are key for your product – especially according to the type of neck, the desired size, colour and material of the packaging. This allows you to quickly find a compatible combination of bottle and cap with dropper exactly according to your intent.
If you decide not to use the cap with dropper any further, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, to place it into sorted waste according to the type of plastic indicated in the parameter table at the product on the Handymade website. Before discarding, remove product residues from the inside of the dropper and the thread to reduce the load on the sorting line and subsequent processing. If you are not sure about local sorting rules, follow the recommendations of your local waste collection system, and in general it applies that a clean and sorted plastic package has the best chance for efficient recycling.
