Always use the dropper with clean and homogeneously mixed preparations. Gently squeeze the rubber part, immerse the tip of the pipette in the product and, by releasing, draw up the required amount. When dosing, let the drops fall slowly to achieve an even and repeatable amount per application. After use, screw the dropper firmly back onto the bottle to minimise contact of the contents with the external environment.

The dropper can be reused with the same type of product, provided that you follow basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling or change of contents, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting both the packaging and the dropper. Disinfection with products such as IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based is suitable; you can find them, for example, as products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 – denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature before refilling.

First, disassemble the dropper into its individual parts, if its design allows. It is recommended to rinse it with a suitable solvent (for example oil for oil blends or distilled water for aqueous solutions), then gently wash it with a neutral cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly. Before the next use, disinfect the packaging (for example with IPA or ethanol) and allow it to dry completely. When changing the type of formulation (for example from a perfume composition to a facial serum), it is important that no residues of the original product remain in the dropper, as they could affect the fragrance, colour or stability of the new blend.

If you decide not to use the dropper or the related bottle any longer, we recommend that, after emptying and basic cleaning, you place them in sorted waste collection according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. Glass parts go into the glass container, plastic components into the plastics container, and any metal elements into metal waste, if this option is available in your area. Always check the recycling symbol and the materials used in the parameter table for the specific product on the Handymade website and follow your local waste sorting rules.
