Always fit the dropper onto a clean and dry bottle or vial neck. First insert the dropper insert according to the orientation recommended for the given type of container, and only then close the bottle thoroughly with the appropriate closure. After closing, check whether the dropper is firmly seated, does not rotate, and whether no unwanted leakage occurs outside the dripping orifice when the container is turned upside down.

The dropper can be reused as long as it is not mechanically damaged and retains its full dripping functionality. When reusing, it is essential to follow hygiene rules – before each new filling, both the container and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. Only after the disinfectant has completely dried is the dropper ready for reuse with another product.

During use, it is recommended to minimize contact of the dropper with the skin or other surfaces to reduce the risk of contamination of the bottle contents. After each use, immediately close the bottle with the dropper, store it in a dry place and protect it from contamination. If visible contamination of the dripping part occurs, it is recommended to replace the dropper or, after thorough cleaning and disinfection, use it only with a new fill.

The dripping speed depends on the viscosity and composition of the specific product. If the dropper drips too quickly, it is recommended to hold the container at a smaller angle and regulate the dose by turning it for a shorter time. For very viscous formulations, dripping may be slower – in such a case, it is appropriate to perform testing with a smaller amount of product and verify whether the given combination of container, dropper and formula meets your requirements. When developing a new product, we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and dosing test.

If you do not want to use the dropper further, it is recommended to empty it as thoroughly as possible of product residues and then sort it according to the material type stated in the product parameters directly on the page. Based on this information, choose the appropriate recycling container, or follow local packaging collection rules in your municipality. Before disposal, it is advisable to remove excess remaining contents to facilitate further recycling and reduce the burden during waste processing.
