The glass bottle – medicine bottle with throat spray is a practical packaging intended for precise and hygienic dosing of liquids directly into the oral cavity or for local use. The fine mechanical sprayer creates a targeted spray, thanks to which the packaging is suitable for preparations that require controlled application without contact with the hands. Glass is a chemically resistant and stable material that helps in the long term to protect the consistency, fragrance and colour of the stored contents.
The glass packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the mechanical part of the sprayer and then disinfect them with a suitable product, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured – plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill the packaging in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination.
The throat spray is designed for liquid preparations with low to medium viscosity that can be finely sprayed. Thick gels or highly viscous emulsions may be more difficult to dose and the formation of a uniform spray will deteriorate. Before final filling, we recommend testing the behaviour of the selected formula in a smaller quantity, checking the smoothness of dosing and whether the nozzle does not become clogged during prolonged use.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters. The glass bottle can, after removal of product residues and separation of the plastic spray mechanism, be sorted into the appropriate container for sorted waste according to local rules. The plastic parts of the sprayer (including the tube) should be sorted according to the type of plastic indicated for the product or handed over within municipal waste collection if local regulations do not allow other sorting. Before disposal, it is advisable to rinse the packaging so that no residues of the original product remain in it.
When filling, pay attention to a clean working environment, an appropriately chosen product viscosity and careful handling of the glass. Do not overfill the packaging so that the sprayer has sufficient space for correct fitting and sealing. Before serial filling, we recommend making a test batch – checking the length of the tube, the evenness of spraying, the tightness of the thread and the behaviour of the product during long-term storage in the packaging. Do not fill the packaging at extremely high temperatures so that the plastic parts of the spray are not damaged.
