The waxes category includes plant-based and beeswaxes suitable for balms, creams and candle making. Different melting points and hardness levels allow you to fine-tune the texture and surface of the final products precisely.
The range includes beeswax, carnauba, candelilla and rice bran wax, as well as specialized soy and blend waxes for candles, including types intended for container candles, pillars or scented wax melts for aroma lamps.
With the right combination of waxes you achieve the desired hardness, gloss and adhesion to the container. An overview of properties and usage tips can be found below and in the article Waxes and their comparison.
Beeswax reinforces balms and creates a protective film; carnauba increases hardness and gloss; candelilla is a popular vegan alternative; rice bran wax improves texture and stability. Balanced consistency and protective effect in balms, ointments and creams. More information can be found in the products Beeswax white 100 g, Beeswax yellow 100 g, Carnauba wax 100 g, Candelilla wax 100 g and Rice bran wax 500 g.
Soy waxes for container candles hold fragrance and adhere well to glass; blends (e.g. rapeseed/coconut) optimize surface and burn. Firm surface, excellent adhesion and stable scent in glass containers. The complete range can be found in the section Waxes for candle making and in the products Golden Wax 464 5 kg and KeraGreen Container 5 kg.
“Pillar” blends are intended for free-standing candles and make it easier to remove them from silicone molds without surface cracking. Smooth surface and clean release from the mold at the correct pouring temperature. More information can be found in the products EcoSoya Pillar Blend 5 kg and KeraSoy Pillar 4120 5 kg.
Special waxes for poured scented wax melts are formulated for easy removal from the mold and a strong hot throw. Maximum released fragrance and easy unmolding. See Golden Wax 494 1 kg, EcoSoya Melt 1 kg and Rapeseed/coconut wax 1 kg; for a broader selection, go to the section Scented wax melt making.
For candles, use fragrances tested for burning; several essential oils are also compatible. For a stable result, the correct wick type and length are crucial. Strong scent and safe burning with proper dosage and wick. Relevant items can be found in the section Fragrances for candles and in the category Candle making.
For balms, beeswax, candelilla, carnauba or rice bran wax are used; for candles, soy and blend waxes depending on the type (container, pillar, scented wax melts). When choosing, monitor the melting point and hardness of the wax.
Typically 5–10 % according to the recommendations for the specific fragrance and wax type. Check compatibility in the wax description and for every new combination perform a burn test on a small candle.
It depends on the wax type; manufacturers indicate approximately 55–65 °C for “pillar” blends and ~60 °C for many soy blends. Adjust the temperature to the room conditions and in the process minimize time at high temperature.
Complete documentation is available for each wax – Safety Data Sheet (SDS), analytical certificate (Certificate of Analysis) and technical data on use.
