The Vitamins & Antioxidants category brings proven active ingredients to improve skin comfort, promote balance and protect against oxidative stress. The range includes hydrophilic vitamins suitable for the aqueous phase as well as lipophilic derivatives ideal for oil serums, balms and emulsions.
Vitamins are selected according to solubility (water/oil), target pH and product type (serum, emulsion, oil care). Antioxidants also contribute to the stability of oil components and fragrances over time, thus improving the overall quality of the product.
Documentation: complete documentation includes Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Certificate of Analysis (Atest), IFRA standards and allergen list.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCl) are easily incorporated into aqueous phase tonics, serums and emulsions. Niacinamide is versatile for daily care products; B6 is mainly used in cleansing and skin care products with a tendency to overproduce sebum. Easy dosing and excellent compatibility in the aqueous phase.
THDA (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) is an oil-soluble form of vitamin C suitable for serums and emulsions with a higher oil content. Stable and sensorially pleasant even at lower dosages. To complete the range you will also find Ascorbyl Palmitate, which is used in the oil phase. Stable "C" forms for comfortable oil formulations.
Tocopherol (96%) is used to protect oil ingredients and cosmetic fragrances from oxidation. Tocopheryl Acetate, which is stable and suitable for creams and body milks, serves as a skin conditioner with a pleasant sensory. Proven antioxidant protection and comfort in the formulation.
Biotin USP is used in low doses in hair tonics, shampoos and specialty serums. It should be combined with aqueous phase and with carriers to promote dispersibility. Low dosage, high efficiency in target products.
For products requiring liquid dosing, stabilised Vitamin C - liquid is available (may be temporarily unavailable for some volumes). Suitable for aqueous serums and tonics. Convenient dosing and integration into "water-based" formulations.
Be guided by the product carrier: aqueous serums and tonics prefer hydrophilic forms (e.g. Niacinamide), oil serums and emulsions with a higher oil content will use lipophilic derivatives (THDA, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopherol).
Yes, this is often done for a synergistic effect (e.g. Niacinamide + Vitamin C derivative + Vitamin E). Pay attention to compatibility, pH and solubility; test first in small stability and sensory tests.
For oils susceptible to oxidation (unsaturated oils, perfume ingredients), vitamin E is almost always appropriate. Tocopherol protects the mixture from yellowing and odour change during storage and use.
Adjust the dosage according to the target product; a low to medium percentage is commonly used, depending on skin type and remaining actives. Monitor pH and aqueous phase solubility and always verify stability.
