Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly when mixing products at home, as long as it is in good technical condition and basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle, including the nasal applicator, and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the usability of your product.

The nasal bottle with spray applicator is most suitable for low-viscosity liquids – aqueous or hydroalcoholic solutions that are easily drawn into the mechanism and can create a fine spray. Thick gels or oils may not be suitable, as they can reduce the quality of atomization or completely block the nozzle. Before final filling, we recommend doing a trial filling on a small sample of the formulation.

First, disassemble the bottle and the spray applicator into individual parts, if the design allows it. Thoroughly rinse out the residues of the original contents with warm water and a mild detergent, and spray several times through the spray mechanism as well. Then rinse all parts with clean water and let them dry completely. Finally, disinfect the packaging – ideally using isopropyl alcohol or plant-based denatured ethanol. After the alcohol has evaporated, you can proceed to fill the new formulation.

If you decide not to continue using the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and with the information given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. First, empty and rinse the bottle as much as possible so that no residues of the original contents remain. Then follow the recycling symbol and the recommendation for the given type of plastic material – place the bottle and the applicator in the appropriate container for separated collection.
