Gloss Black Glass Bottle with Roll-On, 30 ml

Roll-on is a container for products applied in small amounts directly to the skin: oil perfumes, diluted essential oil blends, targeted serums or cuticle oils. The opaque glossy black glass protects the contents from light, which is particularly appreciated for blends prone to oxidation.

This is a ready-made roll-on set: a glass vial-shaped bottle with a nominal volume of 30 ml, a metal ball in a plastic holder, and a plastic screw cap with an 18/410 neck finish. All three parts share the same neck type, so there is no need to search for a matching closure separately. Simply fill, press in the ball, and screw on the cap.

How to use the roll-on

Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The nominal volume is the amount for which the container is designed under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the neck is larger; the difference provides a reserve for the ball holder, which displaces some of the contents when pressed in, and for expansion of the fill with temperature changes. An overfilled bottle will overflow at the neck when the ball is inserted.

After filling, press the ball holder evenly into the neck until it seats fully. Then screw on the cap. Before first use, we recommend turning the bottle over several times so the ball gets wetted by the product.

Before the first fill, we recommend washing and disinfecting the bottle and plastic parts with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and letting them dry completely. Residual water in an oil fill promotes microbial growth and impairs stability.

Suitable for products such as

• Oil perfumes and fragrance blends in a carrier oil (jojoba, fractionated coconut) – the ball applies precisely to pulse points.
• Aromatherapy roll-ons – diluted essential oils for the temples, back of the neck or wrists.
• Targeted serums and oils for minor skin imperfections, where a small amount is applied to a specific spot.
• Eye area roll-ons with a light oil or water-glycerin texture – the cool touch of the ball is pleasant when applying around the eyes.
• Cuticle oils and nail treatments.

The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. The glass bottle itself additionally holds approval for direct food contact, but the cap and ball holder do not. The set is therefore intended for cosmetics, not for food use.

What's good to know

Plastic parts and essential oils. Both the cap and the ball holder are made of polypropylene, which is resistant to common cosmetic oils and diluted essential oils. With concentrated essential oils, citrus absolutes, or a high proportion of solvents, we recommend verifying the behaviour of the plastic parts in the specific formulation. Prolonged contact may soften or discolour the plastic.

Opaque glass. Through the black bottle, the fill level and any changes in the contents are not visible. If you want to monitor the remaining amount or check for cloudiness, a clear or amber container is more suitable.

Reuse. The ball holder can be carefully prised out and the bottle washed. Before reusing, check that the metal ball rotates freely in the holder without sticking. When changing to a different fragrance, we recommend replacing the plastic parts rather than reusing them, as polypropylene may retain the original scent.

Light-coloured or metallic labels show up well on the glossy black glass.

Recycling. The glass bottle goes into glass collection; the cap and ball holder are separated before recycling as plastic.
